Carpe Diem...too late

To forget what never was…
كيف أنسى ما لم يكن؟
These Wednesday rituals have been created for her, and are devoted to her...
To what could have been...
2. Tonight's Comfort Cooking: A spicy Bahian influenced dried shrimp stew. Lots of peppers, hints of cinnamon. Fragrant and warm. Toasted baguette. No appetizer, no desert.
3. To Dwell Upon The Missed Opportunities Of Telling Her What I Felt When I Could Have: A bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape, Chateau Mont-Redon. Red, any good year.
بأي حقٍ عدتي؟؟
It was just a Monday night dream, but she had no right to haunt me.

shino hatha? And I thought it was going to be a mind expanding blog that actually challenged our daily lives instead of delving into a vent blobbing blog. Get with the program and stick to the mark.

Sounds like self-inflicted haunting..
You're asking for it with your weekly rituals, aren't you? :)

Excuse my snooping, why is it late?

Anonymous,

I hope you found at least some of the information in this post interesting.

I had hoped that the info would spark some curiousity to research furher into:

1. The calm & airy Bossa Nova of Paulinho Moska. Here's another Moska song I highly recommend:

Nos Bracos de Isabel (In the Arms of Isabel):

http://sg1.allmusic.com/cg/smp.dll?link=4ppnxf4aodf9ihgudpkz7ad&z=MP3&r=20.asx

2. The multicultural cuisine of the Brazilian north-eastern state of Bahia. This region is an ethnic melting pot. First there were the Natives, then came the Portoguese colonialists, finally the West African slaves were brought, and with them came their methods of cooking, and their sundry ingredients. It was the West Africans who had the heaviest influence on the unique Bahian cuisine as we know it today. Delicious!

3. Chateau Mont-Redon is the oldest winery in Chateauneuf du Pape (a Provencal village in the lower Rhone wine-growing area). The vineyards of Chateauneuf-du-Pape were established by the Popes (hence the name) after the relocation of the Papacy to Avignon in the 14th Century.

Chateau Mont-Redon is only one of two wine houses in Chateauneuf-du-Pape that grow the entire range of the 13 grapes allowed under the strict regulations of the 'Appellation' for the area.

White wine accounts for only 10% of total wine production in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Production is predominantly red.

Find a bottle of the rare White Chateau Mont-Redon and you're hooked.

Find a good year Red Chateau Mont-Redon (as these age very well) and you'll fall in love with me!

So..Do you still think this post was all about venting?? ;-P

Shurouq,

I swear to you I thought I was over her.

Suddenly I dreamt a long and elaborate dream about her which to me seemed to have come out of the blue.

Needless to say, when I remembered the dream I got a rush of intense and conflicting feelings.

Re: Your question.

There was nothing official between us. I don't know where to begin, but it was like building up a pyramid of cards that would collapse just before I placed the very last card on top.

Kila Ma6goog,

You never fail to make me laugh out loud!! LoL!

Wazir,

Thanks, this post being a "mood setter" was exactly what I had hoped to attain...glad you enjoyed it :-)
